All's fair
ALL’S FAIR
Sheriff Joe Cook has two problems weighing on him: a bumper potato crop that may bring him a loss, and Foxy Fromera, a clever local crook who keeps escaping justice. After a store robbery in Del Norte, the sheriff is certain Foxy is involved—but a search of the suspect’s ranch turns up nothing, leaving Cook frustrated and close to despair.
His young deputy, Shorty McKay, offers advice in his own cheerful, homespun way. Shorty believes the sheriff needs to stop brooding, put the potatoes in storage, and take a fishing trip before his worries drive him crazy. But when the sheriff begins considering the suggestion, a simple day beside Willow Creek may become tied to a more urgent plan for catching the elusive Foxy. With lively Western dialogue, small-town rivalries, and a mystery built around missing evidence, this entertaining tale follows an unlikely partnership determined to turn bad luck into a fair chance at justice.
