About the author

Born in Nurmes on September 14, 1901, he was a Finnish publishing editor and author. Finnish reference sources identify him as Reino Rauanheimo, noting that his family name was Järnefelt until 1906.

Rauanheimo is remembered not only for writing but also for his work in publishing, which gave him a close connection to the world of books from both sides of the desk. Surviving bibliographic records and digital editions show a body of work that includes novels and other prose, and some of his titles have been preserved through libraries and Project Gutenberg.

He died on April 21, 1953. While readily available online sources about his life are fairly brief, they consistently present him as a literary figure whose career joined editorial work with authorship.
