About the author
Born in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1948 to an Italian war bride, Ben Conlon spent part of his early childhood in Naples before returning to England. Accounts from his publisher and book listings describe an unusually varied life shaped by both British and Italian roots.
He later earned an LLB with honours and went on to practise law in both England and the United States. Alongside his legal career, he has also worked as an actor and writer, which helps explain the theatrical edge in his storytelling.
