About the author
Antoine Duval is a senior researcher at the T.M.C. Asser Instituut in the Netherlands, where he leads the Asser International Sports Law Centre. He has also been affiliated with the University of Amsterdam, and his research focuses on international and European law, especially the legal structures surrounding sport.
Before joining the Asser Institute, he completed a PhD at the European University Institute in Florence in 2015. His academic path also includes studies in law and political science at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, the University of Cologne, and the European University Institute, reflecting the transnational perspective that runs through his work.
As an author and editor, he has written on topics such as sports governance, international law, and the legal dimensions of economic activity in contested territories.
