High in the craggy Alps, two travelers find themselves stranded after a perilous descent. Their guide, a seasoned local, leads them through moonlit snow when a strange, otherworldly figure appears, rescuing their unconscious companion from a deadly mountain vapor. The being, known only as Zicci, speaks in riddles, claiming to have saved the man by following a prophecy.

Now Glyndon, the rescued Englishman, must decide what he truly desires: a quiet life with his beloved Isabel or the promise of forbidden knowledge and power offered by the enigmatic stranger. Zicci warns that the choice must be made before midnight, and that each path leads to a vastly different destiny. The tension between love and ambition sets the stage for a night of haunting decisions that will shape the characters’ futures.
