Description

Set on a balmy July evening in a Neapolitan garden, a small circle of English travelers and a local host share wine, music, and idle chatter. When the young Englishman Glyndon is seized by an inexplicable shiver, a striking stranger steps forward, offering a chilling theory that blends superstition with a nascent science of invisible forces. Their debate, peppered with tales from Arab, African and European folklore, hints at a hidden world that presses against the limits of human perception.

As night deepens, the group's curiosity turns to obsession, each man confronting the uneasy feeling that something unseen may be edging closer, guided by the stranger's unsettling explanations. The conversation drifts from philosophical speculation to uneasy silence, punctuated by the faint strains of music and the distant murmur of the sea, creating a palpable tension that hints at mysteries yet to surface. Listeners are invited to follow Glyndon's uneasy journey, as he and his companions grapple with the possibility that the world may be populated by forces far beyond ordinary understanding.
