UTHER AND IGRAINE
In a bleak, wind‑bent pine forest on the edge of a remote valley, a small band of cloistered women huddles beneath the fading light. The ancient stone abbey looms behind them, its bell tolling mournfully as night deepens and an eerie whimper rises from the valley below. Against a backdrop of crumbling Roman legacies and whispered rumors of invading forces, the nuns confront a growing sense of dread, their grey habits stark against the darkened trees.
A lone novice steps forward, her gaze fixed on a sudden red flare that erupts from the shadows, casting a fiery finger over the oak circle. The flame illuminates a looming menace, forcing the sisters to choose between fleeing into the night or staying to face whatever horror approaches the chapel. As the smoke curls and the bell’s toll fades, listeners are left wondering how these women will confront the encroaching danger.
