Description

On the tree‑lined Summit Avenue of Berwick, fresh paint and newly lowered moving vans signal the arrival of a new family next door. As the Fayre sisters watch the boxes, sofas, and a grand piano being carried across the lawn, they trade observations about the strangers they’ll soon meet. Their mother, ever the keen‑eyed housekeeper, notes every detail while the girls imagine what life might be like with fresh neighbors.

Among the bustling scene, Dolly catches sight of a black‑haired girl perched in the newly opened window of the Rose house, her red dress bright against the summer light. Intrigued, Dolly pulls back her own curtain to get a clearer view, feeling an instant kinship with this mysterious newcomer. The moment hints at a budding friendship that promises adventures, shared secrets, and the lively mischief of two young girls discovering each other’s worlds.
