Young inventor Tom Swift Jr. rushes to a secret laboratory where a brand‑new gyro‑stabilizer is being tested, only to watch the building shudder under a violent earthquake. With his loyal friend Bud Barclay at his side, Tom claws through falling beams, frees a trapped engineer, and tends to injured colleagues, all while the laboratory’s priceless rocket‑telemeter teeters on the brink of ruin.
Amid the dust and broken equipment, Tom discovers that the tremors are no ordinary quake. Strange readings from the damaged device hint at an unknown energy source, and whispers of a mysterious visitor from beyond the stars begin to surface. As the boys grapple with the immediate crisis, they sense that a far‑wilder adventure—one that may involve extraterrestrial technology and hidden dangers—lies just beyond the wreckage.

A classic byline from the Tom Swift universe, this name was used for the Tom Swift Jr. adventures that mixed fast-moving plots with mid-century dreams of futuristic science. Behind it was not one single writer, but a Stratemeyer Syndicate house pseudonym shared across the series.
