Description

In a storm‑laden night, three young siblings find themselves tucked into Aunt Jane’s sprawling, faded nursery, where a towering four‑poster bed looms like a forgotten monument. The children’s imaginations run wild as they stare at the intricately carved posts, convinced tiny faces peek out from the dark wood, while the fire casts flickering shadows that make the room feel both magical and a little uneasy. Their older brother Rudolf tries to turn the looming bed into a game, but little Ann is convinced something unseen watches from the corners, especially from the old cupboard that Aunt Jane warned them never to open.

When the daring boy Peter finally pries the mysterious box from the cupboard, the siblings discover a trove of cracked toys—tiny soldiers, a three‑legged wooden horse, a half‑filled tea set—each whispering stories of a bygone childhood. The scent of sandalwood and the delicate painted lid hint at a deeper family history, inviting listeners to wonder what secrets the quilt‑covered bed and its hidden treasures might reveal as the night unfolds.
