Description

In a snow‑bound garden, an old French raven named Dudu shuffles along a frozen terrace, complaining about the bitter cold that has settled over the estate. Inside the dimly lit house, young Mademoiselle Jeanne presses her nose to the icy window, dreaming of swapping places with the raven and escaping the winter chill. Her imagination turns the quiet room into a tapestry of stories, where even the humble chickens and a sleepy tortoise become characters in her daydreams.

The gentle, seasoned nurse Marcelline watches Jeanne with amused patience, reminding her that a little cold is no harm while the fire crackles nearby. As the day drifts toward evening, the girl’s fanciful thoughts begin to weave a secret world that stretches beyond the snow‑covered garden. Listeners are invited to follow Jeanne’s tender curiosity, feeling the hush of winter and the warmth of a child’s wonder.
