THE TALE OF
TIMMY TIPTOES
Timmy Tiptoes is a plump, practical squirrel who lives happily with his wife, Goody, in a snug leafy nest. As autumn arrives, the devoted pair set out to gather and store enough nuts for the winter, choosing a clever hiding place in an old woodpecker’s hole. But when forgetful squirrels begin quarreling over missing provisions, a bird’s innocent song sparks a very serious misunderstanding.
Before long, Timmy is accused of stealing and pushed into the narrow tree hole, leaving Goody alone and worried in the forest. Inside, sore and frightened, he discovers an unexpected friend: a cheerful striped chipmunk with a cozy home, a night-light, and plenty of food. This gentle woodland tale follows Timmy and Goody through confusion, kindness, and the lively hazards of preparing for winter, with playful animal behavior and warm illustrations perfectly suited to young listeners.
