The Tale of Mrs. Tittlemouse
THE TALE OF
Mrs. TITTLEMOUSE
Mrs. Tittlemouse is a tiny wood-mouse with a wonderfully intricate home beneath a hedge. Her sandy passageways lead to neat little rooms, storerooms, and cellars, and she takes great pride in sweeping every floor and keeping unwanted visitors at bay. Beetles, spiders, and other muddy-footed creatures are met with a dust-pan, a stern look, and very clear instructions to leave.
But even the tidiest mouse cannot control everything that happens in her house. A family of bees moves into an unused storeroom, while the cheerfully troublesome Mr. Jackson arrives dripping wet, settles into a chair, and begins asking for honey. As Mrs. Tittlemouse tries to protect her clean parlour, manage her unexpected guests, and preserve her peaceful routine, her careful little world becomes increasingly lively. This gentle woodland adventure is filled with cozy details, playful characters, and the familiar charm of a small creature facing much larger nuisances.
