Description

In sleepy Scottsville, Bud Wilson spends his afternoons dodging dust and day‑dreaming at the depot, where the clatter of trains and the chatter of townsfolk fill the air. When the depot driver, Doug, asks for an extra pair of eyes, Bud jumps at the chance to earn his first wage and prove he can be useful. The bustling platform becomes a stage for the town’s colorful characters, from the meticulous bank president to the nervous fair organizers, all waiting for the next arrival.

Excitement builds as fair week approaches, promising a spectacular new attraction: a gleaming aeroplane that the locals hope will draw crowds and boost the community’s fortunes. President Elder, rattling off schedules and expenses, treats the aircraft as a vital investment, while Bud’s curiosity is sparked by the mystery surrounding its unlikely operator, Mr. Dare. As the train whistles into town, Bud’s new job puts him at the very edge of a daring adventure that could change his life forever.
