Description

John, a thoughtful young man of modest means, finds his quiet life upended by an enigmatic visitor whose half‑smiling cynicism forces him to reevaluate the boundaries between right and wrong. The stranger’s unsettling philosophy about sin, pleasure, and the “great scheme” ignites a restless curiosity in John, prompting him to question the very foundations of his conscience. As he wrestles with these ideas, the narrative pulls us into his internal struggle, setting the tone for a story steeped in moral intrigue.

Against this backdrop, John becomes drawn to the plight of Corban, a hardened convict whose existence has been reduced to the cold walls of a prison. Determined to craft a plan of active charity, John balances hope and doubt while charting a fragile path toward redemption for a man many have given up on. Their tentative alliance hints at a delicate dance between compassion and desperation, inviting listeners to explore the thin line between salvation and ruin.
