Description

In the high, wind‑blown canyon a larger‑than‑life mountain hunter known as Old Pegs stalks the wilderness with a mix of comic swagger and raw strength. His mismatched limbs, bear‑skin cap, and a repertoire of rifles, revolvers, and a trusty hatchet make him a striking figure, while his good‑natured grin hints at a soul as rugged as the cliffs he climbs. When a frantic rider bursts into the pass, chased by a band of Blackfeet warriors, Pegs springs into action, using his prodigious arms to guide the stranger through narrow crevices and save both man and beast.

The chase sets the stage for a lively rivalry between two seasoned trappers, each boasting their own brand of daring and humor. Their banter and quick‑thinking in the face of danger paint a vivid portrait of frontier life, where survival depends on wits, strength, and an uncanny ability to turn peril into adventure. Listeners are drawn into a world of towering canyons, thunderous hooves, and the unforgettable camaraderie of men who make the mountains their home.
