The Playboy
Gregory is charming, impulsive, and perpetually late. He treats his patient mother like a personal valet, borrows money with a winning smile, ignores a growing stack of bills, and rushes off to meet Mina, the clever modern woman he insists is worth every sacrifice. At home, his easy confidence grates against the disapproval of his practical sister-in-law and his mother’s longing to see him settled.
But beneath Gregory’s silk shirts, playful excuses, and casual spending lies a young man in serious financial trouble. His car is stranded at the garage, his creditors are closing in, and Mina expects a welcome he can barely afford. As he hurries through a cold city morning, Gregory must rely on charm and improvisation—qualities that have carried him a long way, but may not be enough to protect the life and romance he wants. This lively social comedy explores family expectations, changing ideas about women, and the difficult cost of growing up.
