Description

In this opening segment of the great Indian epic, the heroes of the Pandava clan prepare for the first grand gathering of the war‑torn kingdom. Krishna, Arjuna, and Yudhishthira summon the mighty demon‑architect Maya, whose legendary skill promises a hall of such splendor that mortals could never replicate it. As Maya sets the foundation, the narration weaves reverence for the divine, the duty of kingship, and the awe of creating a space where gods, demons and humans might briefly meet.

The dialogue between the celestial and the earthly reveals each character’s confidence and humility: Arjuna offers thanks to Maya for a life saved, while Krishna guides the construction toward a palace that will reflect his own cosmic order. Maya, delighted by the honor, begins to shape a palace that blends celestial design with mortal purpose, hinting at the wondrous artistry that will frame the courts of the heroes. The scene sets a tone of reverence, ambition, and the delicate balance between duty and devotion.
