Description

In the sun‑drenched streets of Seville, a ten‑year‑old girl named Pilar spins through the Murillo Garden, her castanets clicking in rhythm with the Sevillana. She lives with her aging shoemaker grandfather, sharing a humble home that barely keeps hunger at bay. When a sudden illness strikes the old man, Pilar’s carefree world collides with the urgent reality of caring for the only family she knows.

The story follows Pilar’s devotion to dance—a legacy passed down through generations of women in her family—and her struggle to balance that passion with the responsibilities thrust upon her. As she navigates the bustling plazas, open‑air theaters, and the melodies of street musicians, she discovers how courage, community, and a love for movement can become a refuge amid hardship. The narrative paints a vivid portrait of a child’s resilience in a city where every corner seems to pulse with music and possibility.
