Description

A rain‑lash of thunder rolls over Paris, shrouding the city in a bruised, mist‑filled glow as Mr. Caryll gazes out from the window of a dim, oak‑panelled study. His adoptive father, the stern Sir Richard Everard, confronts him with a demand that could change everything: a clandestine task that only a man of Caryll’s peculiar talents could fulfill. The tension between paternal expectation and personal hesitation crackles like the storm outside, setting the stage for a dangerous game of loyalty and deception.

Caryll’s appearance is as striking as his character—pale skin, sharp features, a bronze‑tinged mane, and eyes that seem to pierce the very soul. He moves with a graceful, almost foppish elegance, yet his demeanor carries a melancholy resolve that hints at a hidden past and a resolve to prove himself. His quiet, measured speech betrays a subtle French accent, marking him as a man caught between worlds.

As the thunder threatens to drown reason, Caryll must decide whether to embrace the mission that Sir Richard calls a destiny, or retreat into the safety of his own doubts. The first act promises a tangled web of intrigue, honor, and the fierce pull of identity that will drive the story forward.
