Description

A charismatic but troubled English gentleman finds his fortunes overturned when a scandal forces him from the comforts of court to a perilous life at sea. Assigned to the remote coast of Cornwall, he discovers a restless spirit and a talent for daring exploits that quickly draw the attention of powerful allies and dangerous foes alike. The narrative follows his early attempts to reclaim honor, navigating treacherous waters and the volatile politics of the Elizabethan era.

Soon after, a sudden raid drags him into the heart of the Mediterranean, where he is taken captive and thrust into a world of slavery, intrigue, and unexpected camaraderie. Amid foreign ports and exotic cultures, he confronts moral dilemmas while forging bonds that could shape his destiny. The opening promises a swash‑buckling adventure rich in historical detail, vivid characters, and the timeless struggle between personal integrity and the harsh demands of survival.
