THE LAST WOMAN
In a far-future civilization ruled by science, humanity has conquered the solar system—and eliminated women. The sole survivor of the female sex lives on display in the heart of Nuk, the transformed city once known as New York. Visitors from Earth, Mars, Venus, and beyond come to study her as a living relic of the vanished “Golden Age,” while she endures their curiosity, mockery, and the cold indifference of the men who see her as an embarrassing remnant of the past.
Bitter, isolated, and hungry for a life beyond her gilded enclosure, she watches interplanetary patrols depart for distant worlds she can never visit. Her greatest torment is Historian Z11, whose lectures reduce her existence to a scientific curiosity and recount the events that reshaped the human race. As his students gather to hear the story of how the last woman came to be, an unsettling question emerges: what happens to a society that possesses immense knowledge and power, but has forgotten what it means to be human?
