BY ALFRED TENNYSON, - POET LAUREATE
In the mist‑shrouded halls of Camelot, a mournful tale unfolds as King Arthur receives a ruby‑strewn carcanet brought by a rescued child’s spirit. The jeweled necklace, a relic of a vanished innocence, is offered as the prize for a grand tournament that will summon the realm’s finest knights. Amid the trumpet’s roar and whispered hopes, the court prepares for a day of glory that may yet turn into something far darker.
The celebration is shattered when a crippled wanderer staggers into the hall, his face mangled and his story grim. Claiming that a rogue Red Knight has seized the very jewels and built a twisted court in the North, he warns that the sanctity of Arthur’s Round Table is under siege. Arthur, torn between compassion for the wounded stranger and the looming threat, summons his loyal knights to confront a challenge that could reshape the kingdom.
