Description

London teeters on the brink of chaos as rival claimants converge on the capital, each backed by fervent supporters and wary officials. In the venerable walls of Westminster, a king desperate to regain his lost realm rallies his forces, while a woman in her private chambers confronts the dread of surrendering everything she holds dear. The streets pulse with fear and hope, as council chambers become battlegrounds of whispered alliances and public parades turn into spectacles of power.

Amid the turmoil, a timid mayor feigns illness, a wealthy merchant flees in panic, and a zealous recorder seizes the city’s reins for the Yorkist cause. Clerics, merchants, and young freemen are drawn into the struggle, each swayed by promises of debt repayment, commercial liberty, or bitter vengeance. As armies marshal at St. Alban’s and the Tower’s doors swing open, the city braces for a conflict that will decide who truly controls the realm.
