Description

In this sweeping tale of medieval honor, a proud Saxon warrior named Harold sets out to rescue his kin held far beyond England’s cliffs. Defying the cautious counsel of King Edward, he gathers a lively retinue—falcons, hounds, and gleaming armor—and departs on a crisp autumn morning, his confidence buoyed by youth and the promise of a noble deed. The journey soon turns perilous as sudden storms batter his fleet, driving the party into hostile seas and ultimately into the grasp of the ruthless Count of Ponthieu, who demands a steep ransom for their freedom.

Beyond the clash of swords and the roar of waves, the narrative explores the tension between loyalty and ambition, the weight of prophetic warnings, and the fierce pride that drives a young knight to risk everything for his people. Listeners will be drawn into a vivid world of chivalry, political intrigue, and the relentless quest for honor that defines the early days of England’s storied past.
