Description

In a hidden green valley, surrounded by an impenetrable forest, lives a community of diminutive Rootmen—tiny folk who dress in moss, flower‑woven garments and spend their days tending roads, holding water‑parties in nutshells, and dancing to the birds’ songs. Twice a year, migrating flocks of storks, swallows and nightingales visit, trading tales of distant lands and filling the valley with wonder and a yearning for the world beyond the hedges.

At the heart of this serene realm rules a kindly king whose only daughter is a princess consumed by curiosity. Though warned that the world of men is harsh and frightening, she longs to see the bustling towns she has only heard about. Reluctantly, the king commissions a delicate aerial nest, lifted by trained cranes, to carry the princess over the forest and into a towering human city. From that lofty perch she witnesses the glittering streets for the first time, sparking both awe and the promise of an adventure that could change her life forever.
