Description

Ellena steps into the cloister’s vaulted music room, veil drawn tightly, her heart racing as the solemn chords of an Italian nuns’ chant fill the candle‑lit space. The abbess presides with regal poise while strangers in bright Neapolitan habit mingle with monks, their contrasting colours heightening the scene’s electric tension. Among the audience a cloaked pilgrim watches her, his presence both a promise and a mystery that spurs her daring curiosity.

As the concert swells, Ellena catches a fleeting chance to lift her veil, hoping the hidden figure might be the famed composer whose music haunts her imagination. The brief exchange of glances hints at a secret connection, yet the veil’s removal also risks the strict eyes of the convent’s hierarchy. In that suspended moment, the listener is drawn into a world where devotion, desire, and the echo of distant violins intertwine, setting the stage for a romance that must navigate the thin line between sacred duty and forbidden yearning.
