A weary veteran of countless wars finds himself rummaging through a New York newspaper when a cryptic job ad catches his eye. The offer leads him to a shabby boarding house where an old, wheelchair‑bound man with an unsettling, bald head—known only as Solino—recruits him for a perilous assignment. The seasoned mercenary, Justus Miles, is drawn into a secretive world of high‑risk contracts, old comrades, and promises of a lucrative payoff.
Solino’s enigmatic plan involves a daring dive beneath the ocean floor aboard the submarine Solino, where a crew of two American adventurers will confront the legendary Vampire Heads of Apex. The promise of treasure and danger lures Miles, but the mission’s true nature remains shrouded in mystery. As preparations begin, old loyalties surface and the uneasy camaraderie between Miles and his former sergeant “Rusty” hints at the challenges that lie ahead beneath the waves.
