Description

In a cosy, lamp‑lit commercial room of a small‑town hotel, a colourful cast of traveling salesmen, a fast‑talking landlord and a stoic doctor gather for their nightly routine. The walls are hung with faded sporting prints, the fire crackles, and the ticking clock offers a steady backdrop to the chatter of Penfold, Malcolm, Beldon and their companions. Their easy banter is suddenly spiced by whispered rumors of a former guest—Jerry Bundler—who never quite left the inn.

When the night deepens, an inexplicable chill and a faint, persistent ticking hint that something unseen may be lingering among them. The characters’ practical jokes and rivalries turn into uneasy curiosity as strange noises echo through the room, and the ghostly presence begins to weave itself into their conversations. Listeners are invited to share the suspense and humor of a classic turn‑of‑the‑century farce, where every creak could be a clue and every laugh may mask a deeper mystery.
