Description

A determined young frog, dressed in an opera hat and eager to find a bride, leaves his quiet pool despite his mother’s warnings. His journey begins with an unlikely companion: a brisk, talkative rat in a long-tailed coat and Blucher boots. Together they set off to visit the charming Widow Mousey, whose cozy cottage promises refreshment, music, and perhaps romance.

At Mousey’s home, the visitors are welcomed with beer and friendly conversation. Froggy hopes to overcome his bashfulness and ask for her hand, but when invited to sing, he suddenly discovers that a recent cold has left him as hoarse as a hog. With playful dialogue, lively rhymes, and a cast of wonderfully eccentric animals, this humorous tale follows a naïve suitor whose grand adventure quickly becomes more complicated than he imagined. It is a light, amusing listen filled with old-fashioned charm and gentle comic mischief.
