The Faithless Parrot
THE FAITHLESS PARROT
In a cozy household, Tittums the tortoiseshell cat and Fido the little white dog live happily together—until Fido confesses that he has fallen in love. Their gentle friendship seems destined to grow, but Tittums is soon dazzled by the arrival of Paul Parrot, a flamboyant traveler with colorful feathers, a grand hat, impressive claims, and a gift for extravagant compliments.
As Tittums begins to favor the charismatic newcomer, faithful Fido is left heartbroken and bewildered. Paul boasts of distant journeys, many languages, a palace-like cage, and a luxurious supply of treats, winning admiration wherever he goes. Yet Fido’s sadness deepens when he discovers that the smooth-talking parrot is repeating the very same romantic promises to another bird. With playful animal characters, lively illustrations, and a gently comic warning about charm, vanity, and fickle affection, this story invites listeners into a whimsical world where appearances may not tell the whole truth.
