Description

In the great hall of Leira, a fresh king’s accession feast erupts in a blaze of banners, fire‑light and the clamor of 60 Viking ships from Jomsborg. Amid the rush‑strewn floor and tables piled high with meat and ale, the new ruler, Svein Twyskiegge, presides over a gathering of warriors, nobles, and the queen’s retinue, each bearing the weight of ancient loyalties and fierce pride.

A solemn oath is sworn beneath the towering high‑seat, binding a wary band of Jarl Sigvald, Bui the Thick and their men to a daring promise that will test the fragile balance between sword and sermon. As the revelry swells, whispers of the looming clash between Thor’s hammer and the rising cross begin to stir, hinting at a journey that will carry these warriors far beyond the hall’s walls.

The opening scenes set a vivid stage of Viking grandeur, political intrigue, and the first flickers of a faith that threatens to reshape a world ruled by iron and blood.
