Description

A winter snowstorm blankets the old Corner House, turning its winding staircases and cozy rooms into a frosty playground for the Kenway sisters, Tess and Dot, and their neighbor Sammy Pinkley. The housekeeper, Mrs. MacCall, fills the air with lively Scots rhymes and games, while the children bustle about in thick coats, their laughter echoing through the halls. As the snow piles higher, the trio settles into a spirited round of hide‑and‑seek, using secret counting chants that have long been part of their daily rituals.

When Sammy vanishes mid‑game, the sisters launch a determined search that sweeps every nook of the creaky mansion, from wardrobes to attic lofts. Dot, clutching her treasured Alice doll, refuses to give up, even as the house’s quirks and occasional visitors momentarily distract her. The mystery deepens with whispers of a ghost and a goat lurking in the shadows, promising a winter adventure that blends childhood imagination with a hint of the uncanny.
