Description

On the remote Yukon bend, a weather‑worn trader runs the only store that keeps a scattered frontier town alive through endless winters and sudden famine. His steady hand and unchanging prices have made him a silent pillar for miners, mule‑train crews, and the desperate few who wander from the frozen north. As the river shimmers like molten gold beneath a stark arctic sun, the trader watches the water carry away both dust and doubts, wondering if it might also wash away the burdens that cling to his life.

When a charismatic drifter named Poleon Doret arrives, his quick tongue and sharper instincts stir old debts, fresh rivalries, and a whispered legend of a mysterious “Barrier” beyond the river’s bend. Together with a fierce young woman, Necia, and a handful of uneasy allies, the trader is drawn into a tense encounter that forces each of them to confront personal loyalties and the unknown forces shaping their world. The stakes rise as the frontier’s harsh reality collides with a deeper, haunting mystery waiting just beyond the next horizon.
