The Adventure of Two Dutch Dolls and a 'Golliwogg'
The Adventures of two Dutch Dolls and a "Golliwogg"
On a frosty Christmas Eve, two wooden dolls, Peggy Deutchland and Sarah Jane, awaken from their year-long slumber and discover that the toy shop belongs to them for one magical night. Eager for freedom, Peggy’s bold schemes soon lead to homemade fashions, a wild ride on a wooden hobby horse, and a lively game of leapfrog with a cheerful crowd of toys.
Their midnight revels take an unexpected turn when a mysterious black gnome appears. Though his startling entrance sends the dolls scattering, the friendly stranger soon introduces himself as the Golliwogg, and curiosity quickly replaces fear. With mischievous Peggy always planning another prank, timid Sarah Jane finding her courage, and surprises hiding in every box and corner, this playful adventure offers a delightful journey through a world where dolls walk, toys laugh, and Christmas magic lasts until dawn.
