Description

In the first tale the narrator wanders through the twilight of 17th‑century Finland, tracing the footsteps of King Charles III as his rule brushes the rugged coastlines and wild forests. From the aftermath of the Suursaari clash to quiet moments in remote Savonian valleys, the story blends battlefield drama with quiet reflections on loyalty and loss. A mysterious glove, once belonging to the monarch, becomes a symbol that links soldiers, peasants, and strangers together in a fragile web of duty.

The second collection shifts to the green‑shaded chamber of an old manor, where whispered rumors about a vanished lady and a hidden treasure stir the household. Guests arrive, strange occurrences multiply, and the walls seem to remember long‑forgotten intrigues, inviting the reader to piece together clues from ghostly sketches to secret letters. Through modest humor and lingering suspense, the tales capture the charm of a bygone aristocratic world while hinting at larger forces that shape each character’s fate.
