Description

A brisk spring chase bursts through the ancient woods of Crowden, where hounds bay and riders thunder on horseback. A lithe Saxon maiden in green, a sharp‑eyed Norman youth, and a towering bowman pursue the fugitive Dan Russell, whose desperate flight paints the forest in flashes of red‑brown foliage and the thundering rhythm of hooves. Their hunt is more than sport; it reveals the tangled loyalties of a land still feeling the aftershocks of conquest, and each rider’s distinct voice hints at the larger clash of cultures that lies ahead.

As the chase spills onto the old Roman road, the hunters confront a bewildering tangle of strangers and possibilities. The pursuit sets the stage for a broader adventure that will carry these unlikely companions far beyond the English countryside, toward a city whose walls have never before fallen. Listeners will be drawn into a world of daring pursuits, vivid medieval life, and the promise of a destiny shaped by spears, honor, and the thin line between freedom and capture.
