Description

In the rugged foothills of the Southern Appalachians, a weary town dweller named Kerry trades his comfortable sidewalks for the tangled paths of Big Turkey Track Mountain. After two days without food, his body aches and his mind fixates on the promise of a hidden cave that might hold the sustenance he craves. The narrative captures the raw, unvarnished life of the region, painting the landscape with vivid local color and a hint of the wild humor that defines Southern storytelling.

As Kerry forces his way into the dark mouth of the cavern, the smell of bracken and the sight of tin cans stacked on a shelf offer a fleeting hope of relief. Yet the quiet is shattered when a tall, black‑haired figure emerges from the shadows, rifle in hand, his presence as chilling as the mountain wind. The encounter thrusts Kerry into a tense standoff, leaving listeners to wonder whether his desperate quest for food will turn into a fight for survival.
