Description

A sleek Spanish corvette slices through the calm northern sea, its sails full as the crew idles on deck, half‑asleep and half‑lost in games of chance. The captain, a striking figure with olive skin and a lineage that reaches back to the doomed Armada, watches the distant Shetland islets with a mix of curiosity and unease. Beside him, his sharp‑eyed lieutenant doubts the civility of the islanders, recalling grim tales of cannibalism, while the captain insists his own blood ties him to the rugged north.

As the ship draws nearer, the officers debate the risks of landing on a shore where history, superstition, and old family bonds intertwine. The captain’s desire to reconnect with his Shetland ancestors sets the stage for a tense encounter, where the promise of hospitality clashes with the looming threat of hidden dangers. Listeners will be drawn into the charged atmosphere of a world on the brink of conflict, where loyalty, heritage, and the unforgiving sea all play their part.
