Prophetia Ionae
PROPHETIA IONAE.
A prophet receives a direct command from God: travel to the great city of Nineveh and warn its people that their wickedness has been seen. Instead of obeying, Jonah attempts to flee by sea, setting in motion a dramatic voyage filled with fear, questions, and a storm powerful enough to threaten everyone aboard. As the sailors struggle to survive, Jonah must confront the consequences of running from his calling.
Cast into the raging waters, Jonah finds himself in an astonishing place of isolation, where prayer becomes his only refuge. When he is given another chance to carry the warning to Nineveh, the city responds with unexpected seriousness, from ordinary citizens to its king. Yet the prophet’s own feelings prove more complicated than the public response, opening a searching meditation on obedience, mercy, anger, and the limits of human judgment. This concise biblical narrative combines vivid adventure with enduring spiritual questions.

“Anonymous” is the enduring name given to writers whose identities are unknown, undisclosed, or lost to history. Their works invite readers to focus on the story, ideas, and voice rather than the person behind the page.
