Description

Alice Endicott can’t stop dreaming of the endless sky, the rising sun over rolling prairie, and the simple pleasure of a horse‑riding life far from the smoke‑filled city. Her husband, Win, has finally closed a deal that could let them trade their modest home for a true ranch of their own, and the couple spends a lazy afternoon on the porch recalling past adventures—dust storms, a near‑fatal wreck at Wolf River, and the wild days that forged their bond. Their conversation crackles with hope, humor, and a shared longing for a future shaped by open land rather than cramped streets.

The story opens in Timber City, a rough‑and‑ready wooden town that will soon become the crossroads of their new life. As the anniversary of their wedding approaches, Alice insists on returning to the place where their love was first tested, while Win wrestles with the practicalities of leaving his business behind. Their plans are already stirring rumors among townsfolk, hinting at both excitement and inevitable challenges.

Set against a vivid western backdrop, the novel weaves humor, romance, and the restless spirit of the frontier, inviting listeners to feel the wind on the plains and the promise of a fresh start.
