Description

Laura has never cared for toys, but a sudden pause before a shop window changes everything. She points to a particular doll, insisting her mother buy it, and the little figure—named Kirsti—goes straight to her room. The adults are amused and bewildered, especially when the family lecturer, trying to be helpful, builds a tiny house for the new guest, complete with rooms, windows and a bright‑sunlit view.

The miniature home becomes a stage for Laura’s quiet world, where the doll seems to smile and think of secret jokes. As Laura watches from the floor, her mother leans in, trying to guess what the doll might be remembering, while the whole household is drawn into the gentle mystery. The story captures that delicate point where a child’s imagination turns an ordinary plaything into something almost alive, inviting listeners to share in the wonder of a simple, yet deeply felt, everyday enchantment.
