PEREZ THE MOUSE
PEREZ THE MOUSE - Adapted from the Spanish of Padre Luis Coloma
In a charming kingdom ruled by the gentle six‑year‑old King Bubi, kindness spreads from the toy factories built for children to the wise laws protecting the tiny mousefolk. When the young monarch loses a wobbly tooth, his caring mother instructs him to place the pearl‑white tooth in an envelope beneath his pillow—a time‑honored ritual that never fails.
That night, a dainty mouse named Perez, dressed in a straw hat, slippers and glittering spectacles, appears to collect the tooth. Their first exchange is a courteous dance of bows and polite wishes, sparking an instant friendship that promises many delightful adventures together.
