Pee‑wee Harris is a lanky, endlessly enthusiastic Boy Scout who can’t seem to keep his mouth – or his feet – out of trouble. When he decides to lead a new Alligator Patrol and plans a weekend trek to Temple Camp in a rickety flivver, his over‑confidence and love of scout manuals set the stage for a series of comic mishaps. Alongside his loyal (if sometimes bewildered) sidekick Townsend Ripley, Pee‑wee packs a commissary for weeks, determined to avoid any hint of being stranded in the Catskills’ wilds.
The adventure quickly spirals into a chaotic scramble of misplaced gear, rival patrols, and the occasional over‑zealous scout rule. As the Alligators clash with the established Ravens, Silver Foxes and Elks, Pee‑wee’s attempts to impose order lead to laugh‑out‑loud moments that capture the spirit of youthful camaraderie and the occasional folly of taking scouting a little too seriously. Listeners will enjoy the light‑hearted, fast‑paced tale that celebrates the joys—and the occasional pratfalls—of camp life.
