My twin puppies

When Jimmy’s father brings home two tiny puppies, Jimmy knows at once that they are special twins. The brown-eyed pup becomes Bubbles, while the saucy black-eyed pup is named Troubles after trying to chew Jimmy’s shoe. With shiny new collars and plenty of patience, the puppies learn to walk neatly, jump through hoops, sit up, sing, and even play dead—though each has a comical style of its own.

Jimmy soon decides to put on a real circus in the family garage. He and his father decorate the space, build a little stage, and invite the neighborhood children, hoping Jimmy can use the admission money to buy a gift for a lame boy nearby. But when the show is about to begin, Bubbles and Troubles have vanished. As the crowd searches and faint yips echo from mysterious places, Jimmy and his young friend must use their ears—and their wits—to discover where the mischievous performers are hiding.
