Description

Motor Matt is a young tinkerer who can’t resist the roar of a fresh‑built engine. While wandering the sand dunes of the Presidio, he wrestles with a choice—continue the endless race of gears and pistons or step toward a new kind of schooling. The salty breeze off the bay carries the promise of untapped horizons, and his restless mind keeps asking, “What’s next?” When a voice breaks his reverie, a rag‑clad teenager appears, and Matt’s curiosity snaps into action.

A local raffle has gifted a gleaming motor launch to Ping Pong, a clever Chinese boy who insists on joining Matt’s crew. Together with the good‑natured cowboy Joe McGlory, they set off across the bay, chasing a daring rescue that tests their skill and courage. Along the way they encounter a scheming “Red‑whiskers” and a conflicted youngster named George, each adding tension and humor to the ride.

The story rolls forward with high‑speed chases, clever ploys, and unexpected alliances, all threaded through Matt’s love of machinery. Listeners will be drawn into a world where friendship, ingenuity, and a splash of danger keep the adventure’s engine humming.
