Mavericks

In the searing brush of the Southwest, a trio of outlaws rides toward a crumbling shack, their saddles heavy with two hundred pounds of stolen gold. The robbery has left one of their number mortally wounded, and the sheriff’s posse is already hot on their heels, turning the desert into a chase of dust and gunfire. Seeking a brief respite, the men drag their prize into the lonely cabin, hoping a hidden spring will give them the strength to plot their next move.

Inside the dim interior they discover something far more fragile than the loot: two infant cries echo from a hidden bunk, the children of a desperate mother left behind in the chaos. The outlaws are forced to weigh the value of the gold against the lives of innocent babes, a decision that will test their loyalties and expose the thin line between survival and conscience.
