Description

Rex Morgan has just lost the only person who ever anchored his world. At twenty, he sits on his family porch in the dusty town of Northport, California, bewildered by the sudden emptiness of his life and the mystery of a father he never knew. With no money, no prospects, and only a threadbare suit to his name, the quiet, book‑learned youth suddenly faces the harsh reality of a frontier that demands far more than classroom knowledge.

When the neighbor, Amos Weed, drops by with a cigar and a blunt suggestion to find work, Rex’s idle days end. He soon encounters the legendary trail‑hand Hashknife Hartley, a rugged figure whose reputation for solving the wild West’s toughest problems promises both a livelihood and a chance to uncover the secrets hidden in the Morgan Trail. Listeners will be drawn into a tale of self‑discovery, gritty small‑town life, and the promise of adventure that lies just beyond the porch steps.
