Description

The story opens on a lone railway platform tucked between the woods of three tiny villages. The station is a modest outpost, tended by a few bored employees who spend idle moments gardening and swapping gossip while the lone train shuttles agricultural goods between market towns. When the evening train finally hisses into view, a stranger steps down with a trunk and a mysterious young boy whose gloved hands clutch a heavy case of books.

The boy’s sharp stare and the way he commands the porter and guard suggest he is no ordinary passenger; his presence turns the routine night into something charged with anticipation. As the staff wrestle with the unusually weighty cargo, the reader is left wondering what secrets those books might hold and why a child appears to hold such authority. The scene sets a quiet, almost timeless landscape that will soon be disturbed by the quiet storm of curiosity and hidden purpose.
