Description

In the shadow of the rocky hills near Marome, the tiny chapel of St. Rire guards an unusual treasure – a gilded iron gauntlet once said to have been worn by the legendary Lady of Orleans. Pilgrims come to glimpse the relic, but the village sees little benefit, while the keeper of the chest lives a quiet, uneasy life. When a sharply dressed stranger arrives, his glittering jewels and promises of wealth set a tense negotiation in motion.

The outsider offers the gauntlet in exchange for a sack of gold, claiming the relic can bring its holder untold power and protection. The aging guardian, torn between duty and temptation, must decide whether to betray his oath or risk the stranger’s dangerous ambition. As night deepens over the ancient stone, the quiet village braces for a choice that could reverberate far beyond its modest walls.
